Your base salary, or regular rate of pay, is reviewed on an annual basis. Base pay reflects your position’s responsibilities, competencies, skills, qualifications, and performance over time.
Cyberonics pays an annual cash bonus based on a number of elements, including, but not limited to, achievement of individual and corporate objectives. For the sales team, an alternative sales incentive plan is in place.

Adoption assistance and fertility treatment
After 1 year of employment, financial assistance is available for full-time employees who are building families through adoption or fertility treatment.
Eligible full-time employees may receive 40 hours of parental leave as a planned absence in connection with the birth or adoption of a child.
Peace of mind is important to everyone. That’s why Cyberonics offers life insurance and comprehensive disability benefits at no cost to employees.
Basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance
Cyberonics provides basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance at no cost, up to one and a half times the employee’s annual salary, but not to exceed $300,000.
Supplemental life insurance
Employees may purchase optional supplemental life insurance in increments of $25,000, up to $300,000. Life insurance is also available for employees’ dependents.
Cyberonics offers short-term disability insurance at no cost. In the event of a non-job-related disability, employees receive 60% of weekly earnings, up to $2,000 per week.
Cyberonics offers long-term disability insurance at no cost to employees as protection in cases of disabilities lasting more than 13 weeks.The employee receives 60% of monthly earnings to a maximum of $15,000 per month.
Optional supplemental income protection
Employees have the option of electing supplemental income protection. Critical illness insurance is designed to help offset the financial effects of a catastrophic illness (including cancer), offering a lump-sum benefit if you are diagnosed with a covered critical illness, as well as group accident insurance to help you meet additional out-of-pocket expenses that may follow an accidental injury.

Paid time off
In your first year of employment at Cyberonics, you will be granted 20 days of paid time off. Regular full-time employees are awarded paid time off, based on years of service.
Cyberonics recognizes 8 designated holidays per year.
